Age Twisters is a new two-player adventure worth watching if your favorite gaming nights involve solving problems together. The Mir podpisok TikTok introduces it as a possible rival to It Takes Two. That is an appealing comparison, but the more interesting question is what this game does with its own idea: changing your age to change how you play.
Here is what PlayStation players can already establish from the official announcements, and what still needs an answer before launch. This is a preview of announced features, not a hands-on review.
Is Age Twisters coming to PS5?
Yes. The US PlayStation Store listing identifies a PS5 version and currently offers a wishlist option. The official website advertises a 2027 release window; the store still says the release date is to be determined. A year is a useful planning window, but it is not an exact launch day.
- Developer and publisher: Piccolo Studio and KRAFTON.
- Format: a story-led co-op adventure built around two players.
- Play options: local and online co-op are announced.
- Purchase status: the checked US listing has no USD price or paid pre-order offer.
For now, wishlisting is the practical next step. If you use a European account, check your own storefront when purchasing becomes available; a US page does not establish your local price or edition contents.
A family mystery in a near-future Barcelona
KRAFTON’s announcement places the adventure in a near-future Barcelona. Its central pair is a grandfather and granddaughter searching for the girl’s missing mother. Their unusual bracelets let them move between life stages, combine abilities and tackle obstacles together.
That pairing gives the premise an immediate emotional hook. Rather than simply assigning one person a strong character and the other a quick character, the concept invites both players to experience different stages of life. I am interested in whether the conversations make that change feel as meaningful as the puzzles do.

Your age is part of the puzzle
The official Steam description lists four forms: childhood, adolescence, adulthood and old age. You can switch in real time, with different abilities attached to each stage. Progress depends on combining those abilities with your partner’s.
In principle, this creates a nice kind of co-op conversation: which form should each person use, and who acts first? My hope is that the answer keeps changing. Discovering a solution together is more satisfying than one experienced player giving instructions while the other waits for permission to press a button.

Friend’s Pass: one purchase for a pair
The announced Friend’s Pass lets one owner invite another player without that second person buying a separate copy. Local and online play are both part of the pitch. That makes the game easier to consider as a shared purchase, particularly when your usual partner is curious rather than already committed.
There are still practical details to check closer to release. Cross-platform invitations, account requirements and the final console subscription conditions are not established by the pages linked here. If one of you uses a PS5 and the other a PC, wait for an explicit compatibility statement before planning your purchase around playing together.
More than one kind of co-op challenge
The promotional material promises regular changes of activity. Examples include a desert vehicle chase, transporting chickens through a factory, a dance-based infiltration and an animatronic T-Rex ride. The official desert screenshot shows separate driving and shooting roles within the same vehicle.
Those changes are why the comparison in the TikTok makes sense as a starting point. A good evening together can move from a quiet puzzle to a chaotic chase without either player needing to master an enormous combat system first. Whether Age Twisters gets that pacing right will be something to judge in the finished game.

Should It Takes Two fans keep an eye on it?
Age Twisters has a clear proposition: a dedicated partner, a family story and an ability system you can experiment with together. It earns a place on my watchlist on that basis. Calling it an It Takes Two rival is an expression of interest, rather than proof that it matches that game’s quality or scope.
Before deciding to buy, I would look for three things: an uninterrupted gameplay demonstration, clear Friend’s Pass instructions for the platforms involved, and reviews that discuss how it works for players with different experience levels. None requires judging a whole game from a short clip.
