Our Top 5 Games That We Need More Of

How many times have you played a game and it just left you wanting more. While the game finished well enough, you know there could be more to the story. Personally, I was left wanting more of Red Dead Redemption. And as you know, I was personally rewarded with Red Dead Redemption 2, which has given me a sense of completion. Looking back at all of the games I have played over the years, there have been many that are deserving of a sequel. Below you will find my top five games that truly need a follow-up.

1. Cuphead

Whoever thought a side-scrolling game could ever become as addictive as Cuphead? When Microsoft and developers Studio MDHR released this game in 2017, I barely took notice. However, being a fan of side-scrollers, I had to give it a try and I have to say that I was hooked at once. This vintage style game is visually appealing and quite challenging. Yet, there seems as though there could be so much more done with Cuphead and Mugman. I know I have much more to rage about with this game during those boss battles!

2. Sunset Overdrive

This is a gem that found its early success on the Xbox One and was recently converted to PC platform. Gamers loved playing in this post-apocalyptic world as they fought mutants of all types and sizes. With the recent conversion and players still obsessed with this game, is it possible that Insomniac will give in and let us explore this world one more time?

3. Horizon Zero Dawn

One of my all time favorite games was the 2017 debut of Horizon Zero Dawn. This game takes place 100 years into the future and we are far from living the Jetson’s lifestyle. In fact, humanity is living in tribes and mechanical beasts have overtaken the land. It is one of the most rewarding games I have personally played in this genre and have been anxiously waiting to return. Knowing that there are many other gamers waiting as well, I am sure Guerrilla Games will introduce a new title soon.

4. The Order 1886

If we want to talk about a visually stunning and excellent game, it has to be The Order 1886. Based in London, we are forced to fight an all-out war with Vampires and Werewolves as they overtake the city. While an overall great game, it seems cut short. A sequel is needed to allow players back into this world to rejoin the fight and give us the ending we truly deserve.

5. A Hat In Time

What a way to bring back memories of my youth playing on the N64! This 3D inspired game is truly deserving of a sequel just to let us play in this retro-inspired world a little longer!
